It is our policy at LocalCareers.com to do our best to keep it that way. We want to provide a safe, secure user experience. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private, and is used only for the purposes as set forth herein. The following reflects our commitment to you.

Information About All Visitors

In general, we gather information about all of our users collectively, such as what areas users visit most frequently and what services users access the most. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users, and how we can continually create a better overall experience for you.

We do not disclose information about your individual visits to LocalCareers.com, or personal information that you provide, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number, etc., to any outside parties, except when we believe the law requires it. But, we may record and share aggregated information with our partners. Also, if you input your information on a co-branded registration page, such as that of a LocalCareers.com and partner company-sponsored contest, then your information becomes the property of both LocalCareers.com and the partner co-sponsoring the contest. In that instance, LocalCareers.com is not responsible for the information that the partner company receives.

Confidential Profile (Career Agent Only Resume Not Posted)

LocalCareers.com offers a job agent whereby registering will notify you of potential career opportunities. These profiles are completely confidential. At no time will LocalCareers.com allow any employers to search confidential profiles.

LocalCareers.com does not sell any information provided by the users of the site.

You can remove your information from the career agent at any time. Email addresses submitted to LocalCareers.com (i.e. registering for a Career Agent) are kept confidential and will not be sold or otherwise distributed to third parties.

Applying To Jobs

When you respond to a job posting on LocalCareers.com or any affiliated website, your resume goes directly to the company posting the job. LocalCareers.com doesn't review your resume or have the ability to be added to any public resume database.

In some cases, you will be redirected to the company's or a partner sites online application. You will be alerted that you are being redirected to another website. LocalCareers.com has no control over these other sites. Please review their privacy policies for more information.

Some of the LocalCareers.com sites offers a your resume in our database. This features allows you to market yourself to potential employers. LocalCareers.com offers two feature.

Confidential Resume - LocalCareers.com allows you to post a confidential resume. Your full resume is searchable with the exception of your name and contact information. Employers can contact you via a form where your email address is protected. This feature is ideal if you are presently employed and do not want your current employer to find your resume.

Full Resume - You post your full resume with your name and all contact info is listed.

Note: If you allow your resume to be searchable, then all employers and recruiters who pay for access to our resume database product will have access to your resume. We use our best efforts to grant access to this database only to paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to this database. You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. However, employers and recruiters who have paid for access to the database, and other parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.

You can remove your resume from the resume database at any time.

LocalCareers.com allows you to change or correct your personal information at any time. To do so, simply log into your account, and you will find options for editing the information you have submitted.

To enhance your experience at LocalCareers.com, we use a feature on your Internet browser called a "cookie". Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies for remembering user names and passwords and preferences, tracking click streams, and for load balancing. Because of our use of cookies, we can deliver faster service, consistent, updated results, and a more personalized site experience. You have the option of setting your browser to reject cookies.
